Description

Warsteiner Premium German Pilsener

Warsteiner Premium German Pilsener,  world-class international premium pilsener.

Unique: the slightly tart taste experience.

Exceptional: the top quality of the ingredients.

Inimitable: the exquisite premium character.

Pleasantly light: thanks to especially soft brewing water.

“Öko-Test”: “First Class”

The “Öko Test” magazine compared 46 beers including known brands distributed throughout Germany and regional brands. The Warsteiner Brewery’s Premium-Pils was rated “First Class” by the Öko-Test jurors as the best beer distributed throughout Germany from a family-run brewery (August 2009).

This outstanding result impressively underscores Warsteiner’s traditional quality attributes.

Our company only purchases and processes quality hops that meet our strict quality requirements. The special combination of bitter and aroma hops is unique and is a key component of the well balanced, mild-hoppy WARSTEINER Premium German Pilsener.

The malt for our beer is manufactured from top-quality brewing barley cultivated from well-known German producing regions and from Champagne, which enjoy optimal climatic and soil conditions. The light golden yellow color of WARSTEINER Premium German Pilsener beer is obtained thanks to none other than the finest ingredients and an especially gentle, careful brewing process.

Another top-quality attribute is the original and especially soft brewing water. This is obtained from the Kaiserquelle, among other sources.

Albert Cramer Senior discovered the Kaiserquelle (‘Kaiser’s Spring’) at the edge of the Arnsberg Forest, close to the Waldpark brewery of today. With a water hardness of only one to two degrees, the water is especially suitable for brewing beer and contributes to the beer’s wholesomeness. The Kaiserquelle’s soft water, which still to this day feeds the Warsteiner Brewery’s water tanks, was crucial for the huge success of Warsteiner Pilsener, which was brewed from 1927 following the registration of water rights.

Warsteiner Brewery

The Warsteiner Brewery was founded in 1753, and today is one of the largest privately held breweries in Germany. Its flagship is the Warsteiner brand, one of Germany’s leading premium pilsener brands.

But WARSTEINER is equally successful around the globe: The brand is served in more than 60 countries worldwide. The export business is supported by its own sales organizations abroad as well as through cooperation agreements with international partner breweries. In several countries WARSTEINER is produced under license agreements.

The Warsteiner Brewery is family-owned and has its headquarters in the Sauerland region in the German state of Westphalia. Today, the company is managed by the 9th generation of the Cramer family, Catharina Cramer. Its history of unparalleled rise from a mere regional beer to an international premium brand is rooted in the concepts of tradition and innovation—values which still today define the company as well as the brand.
